Last Saturday I met author Monique Truong. She was a fabulous woman to talk with. It suck that I did not buy her book (I get 10% off at Barnes & Noble). She was promoting her book “Bitter in the Mouth” at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. Her book was great. I finally met an author who was Asian just like me. It is great that there are Asian out there that wrote a book devoting to the Asian Community.
I am doing well this semester. Both classes I am getting an “A” and “B”. I need to keep it up and not fail. I been attending all of my classes and I refuse to do horrible. I love both of my classes. It keeps me active by doing the work. The daily commute to San Francisco sucks and also finding parking on the street but I need to stay on track to raise my GPA to stay at San Francisco.
The question I think a lot of people are wondering is if I’ll be attending San Francisco next semester. Apparently I will be back for the Spring Semester. It will be my last semester at San Francisco. I cannot afford to pay for next year. They are raising the price of tuition no matter if students protest. The people before us got lucky that they manage to go to a university at a low price. I believe the future college students are not going to go to college if the prices go up higher.
