Summer Session and Beyond Toward Life

Here is what I been thinking about the entire week. I been debating if I want to take a summer class at San Francisco State University. It is a month long session in which he cost to take the class is $332 per unit in which the class that I want to take is only 3 units (It will cost $996).

The reason why I want to take the class in the summer is because I only have 26 units left to graduate. I really want to graduate. If I take the class it will knock out 3 units and I just need to have 23 units to be done. Thankfully I saw my advisor on Monday to figure out how much more units I need to be done.

I posted a questionnaire on Facebook asking people if I should take the class. Not much people answer my question. I was expecting to have everyone on my list to answer. It was not very helpful to ask.

If I take the class in the summer what are my plans heading toward Fall 2012-Spring 2013? I really want to go back to being a full-time student. I am not getting much hours at Sam’s Club and I want to mainly focus finishing up at SFSU.

What also a good idea to take the class is because most of the other classes that I need to take are being cut due budget problems. The state is cutting classes and letting go out faculty but also raising the cost of tuition. I want to take advantage of the classes that are being offer.

I have until May 18 to decide if I want to take the class. Let just hope I make the right decision.

One Month Left

I was checking out my calendar and I have one month left until the semester is over. I can’t believe I made it through. It was a difficult semester compare to the other semesters I had in San Francisco. One thing that I can say is that I am not in academic probation.

My classes are going good. I am doing the class assignment and taking advantage of any extra credits that is being offer. I refuse to fail these classes. I want to graduate from San Francisco State as soon as possible.

Not much I could say this week.

Volunteering at I-Hotel

Volunteering at the I-Hotel Manilatown Center is a privilege. I got to learn about the history behind the hotel. This year they are having the 35th anniversary of eviction of the residents.

Why do I volunteer at the I-Hotel? It is an assignment for my class in which I have to volunteer there for a total of 8 hours for the semester (as of March 24 I have complete my hours). What I do is help with the place promote upcoming events and post up pictures from past event on Facebook. Just recently I learn how to create a video on iMovie in which it is uploaded on YouTube.

I was hesitant in helping out. The place is located in Chinatown which street parking is hard to find and parking in the garage can be expensive. I was also afraid that I did not have any time to volunteer due to my hectic work schedule. Luckily my hours at work has been cut and I manage to find time to volunteer there. I’ll admit helping out with I-Hotel change my prospected in helping out with others.

I am thankfully that I got to help out with the I-Hotel Manilatown Center. It gave me the experience of helping out a community.
