Off the Grid No, Applying for Job Yes

Am I mad that Off the Grid has not hired me? I am just upset with all the dedication by attending their event and getting their attention that I do not get an interview for a job with them. I even went to their office at Fort Mason and it does not make a difference. I just felt like I wasted my time by attending their event. I do not know if I am going to continue coming to Off the Grid.

I need to keep applying for places that I want to work for. I know it is selfish of me for applying at places I want to work for. I should not limit myself in applying near my area. I felt like the skills that I qualify for are limited. I work in retail for over ten years. I have knowledge in electronics, photo, and jewelry. I have a degree in Asian American Studies. There are plenty of places that I could apply for but I do not know why I cannot find them. Odd huh?

I just do not want to commute long distance for a job. My patience in waiting in traffic is very limited. I cannot stand to stay in a long wait in traffic. I am willing to commute to San Francisco, Daly City, Fairfield, San Rafael, Danville, Berkeley, Vallejo, and even American Canyon.

I really just need to apply and apply until I land an interview and a job. Enough complaining and just do it.

Bachelor of Arts diploma in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University

After waiting for a few months to get it in the mail it finally arrived. My Bachelor of Arts diploma from San Francisco State University has arrive last Monday through the mail. I am happy that I have finally achieve something that I work so hard on earning.

I would not expect to get my diploma. I felt like I slack off my four years at San Francisco State University and did not work too hard on achieving it. I did do the impossible in which I commuted from Hercules to San Francisco daily and mostly commute from San Francisco to Concord for Sam’s Club. I could not believe that I did a huge risk of commuting far distance and working the exact same day.

I appreciate the support that I got from people at San Francisco State University. The professors that I had in the Asian American Studies were OK. I did have some good and horrible professors at San Francisco State University. There were some professors that had favorite students to talk with and there were some that took the time to spend office hours helping the students. I will not name any professors that were good or bad.

What is next for me? Of course I am looking for a better job. It is my time to leave Sam’s Club to move up in the world. It is tough to land an interview on places I apply for. I will not give up until I land a job interview and a job.

Off the Grid Fort Mason

I will be attending Off the Grid Fort Mason on March 14. It is the biggest Off the Grid event. A lot more food trucks compare to the other Off the Grid events being held in the Bay Area. Not only will I be eating all of the different types of food trucks but I will try to get Off the Grid attention to hire me. I been trying to get Off the Grid to hire me. I apply for the Retail Ambassador about a month ago and I have not heard anything yet. I did a follow up e-mail and no word yet. I attend all of their events and the people that are involve with Off the Grid know me well. It should be easy for me to get my foot in the business. Let just hope I will get their attention when I show up March 14.
