Canon EOS R100

I got a Canon EOS R100 in November 2024. I got the camera through Sam’s Club website for $499. It was a kit that included the camera bag, 32GB SD Card, and 55-210 lens. It is a great mirrorless camera which is a big update from a DSLR.

In December I got a Canon RF 50mm lens for the camera at Target for $199. It is a nice len which the results were outstanding.

I have not invested in a Canon Speedlite Flash since I rarely use flash. Luckily the Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI that I use on my Canon EOS Rebel T6i works well on the Canon EOS R100 camera.

I do want to invest in a camera backpack. The bag that came with my camera is small. I need space to place filters and lenses. I do want to invest in a Canon RF-S 18-150mm lens and Canon RF 28mm lens when I use my camera often. I am still involve with photography but with my work at Whole Foods Market and other personal things it is hard to find time to go out and take pictures.

I only use the camera at Farmers Market. I truly want to use the camera when I attend music performances and events in the Bay Area. I need to learn how to keep the camera maintenance making sure there is no dust when I am taking pictures. I have seen spots inside the camera body.

I still have the Nikon D5200, Nikon D5300, and Canon EOS Rebel T6i with accessories which I am not going to get rid of. It is not worth selling my camera since it would probably be very low. I truly spend a lot of money on the camera.

Lets see where the Canon EOS R100 will take me in 2025
