It has been a long time since I posted up a blog. I have been busy with work and also been too lazy to post anything up.
I started the Fall Semester (second year) at San Francisco State University Wednesday, August 25. I got all the classes that I need to take. This semester I am taking four classes which equal up to 12 units. I’m taking three Asian American Studies courses and an Anthropology class. The only day that I have all four classes is Monday. I am stuck at SFSU the entire Monday from 9:35 in the morning until 9:45 at night. Luckily I have a break from 12:25 til 4:10.
Am I excited that I am taking four classes up to 12 units? I didn’t want to do it but my advising counselor told me that I had to if financial aid was going to pay for my courses. Luckily this semester I am only on campus two days (Monday and Wednesday). The rest of the other days that I am not at San Francisco I am working at Sam’s Club.
Does the commute driving to San Francisco and going to Concord exhaust me? Yes it does. I wake up 5:30 in the morning to get on the freeway to beat traffic going toward the Bay Bridge. What sucks is that I have to pay $6 for toll. Commuting from San Francisco to Concord is also a drag. I have to beat traffic before 2 to get through the tunnel. At least one thing out of this is that my car gets great mileage
What is my goal for the semester? I want to succeed in all my classes. All I need to do is stay focus and not lose any concentration. There are a few things that I need to not do which is stay off of Facebook and YouTube. I have to learn how to use great time management. There are days that I work early or work later. I need to use that time to do homework. I also need to take advantage of my days that I am neither at work nor at school. That is the only way that I will succeed this semester.
